All SNAP facilities use state of the art instruments and equipment. All spay/neuter surgeries are performed by qualified doctors of veterinary medicine, and all animals entrusted to SNAP are attended to before and after surgery by trained veterinary technicians.

What to Expect:
Please call to schedule an appointment for your cat or dog. The Houston Surgery clinic
provides service for animals with appointments. Animal intake is between 7:30 a.m. and 8:00 a.m. Please do not be late. All clients need to sign-in when they arrive.  Expect a 30 - 40 minute wait as all the animals scheduled for surgery that day are checked-in simultaneously.

Restraining your Animal:
Upon arrival, all dogs and cats should be restrained by a leash or in a carrier. Cats may

Payment of Services:

SNAP accepts Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover

Payment must be made when services are rendered.  We accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express, cash, and personal checks.

Free services are not available at the surgery clinic.

Pick-up Time:
Once surgical procedures are completed and after  full recovery from anesthesia, animals are discharged from the clinic the same day as surgery. Animals should be ready to be picked up between 3:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. For the safety of surgery patients, no overnight stays are permitted.

Feral Cats:
No appointment is necessary.  Please bring the feral cat in a humane trap. (A standard cat carrier or trap will not suffice. If you are not sure what constitutes a humane trap, please contact us before attempting to trap an animal.) Only one cat per trap is permitted. All feral cats will have the tip of their left ear notched while under anesthesia for surgery.  Ear notching is an indication that a feral cat has been spayed or neutered.

Should any emergencies or post surgical questions arise, our medical team is on call 24 hours a day. Our Houston medical team may be contacted by dialing 832.217.7195.
